The simplest way to convey the Elysium ethos is through the experiences, memories and words of our clients. No two losses are ever the same and we are honoured by their generosity in allowing us to tell some of their stories.
“When a work lifts your spirits and inspires bold and noble thoughts in you, do not look for any other standard to judge by the work is good, the product of a master craftsman”
Jean de la Bruyere
Elysium offers a commissioning service for clients who would like something bespoke made which is unique and personal to them. A work of art can be designed to truly reflect the life and personality of a loved one. The process of commissioning an original piece of artwork has several different stages:
1. Initial consultation
The Elysium team establishes exactly what the client is looking for and decides the most appropriate artist to design the piece.
wishes to proceed with a bespoke memorial, a £100 design fee is applied. This fee is deducted from the final price of the commission. The artist takes produces a selection of ideas and sketches for discussion and approval.
Once a design has been agreed upon, and everyone is happy to proceed, half the final cost is paid in advance to enable production to begin. Deadlines, delivery, installation (if required) and final payment terms are also formalised at this stage.
3. How long does it take?
The most important thing for Elysium is to allow sufficient time in both the consultation and making process to ensure a high quality, beautiful and lasting memorial is made. Anything made by a professional artisan involves care and consideration, and the time this takes can vary enormously depending on the complexity of the piece. We will always offer honest and achievable deadlines. As all our memorials are made to order, we require a lead time of a minimum of 6 weeks.
