Bespoke Urn

We were contacted by Kim as she was looking for an urn to hold the ashes of her beloved Dalmatian.

She really liked our candle urns, but wanted a different lid and a specific size to hold the correct amount of ashes.

First of all we did a few quick sketches to show Kim the possible lid shapes we could achieve. She chose the one she liked most. We then set about blowing the urn to the correct size. Once it has been made and annealed (cooled slowly in a kiln to release the tension in the glass), it went to Steve Frey, who cut and polished the glass lid to fit.

A satin bag was also made to size, to hold the ashes inside the urn.

Kim loved the finished urn and we were really pleased with it too. It really shows how we can adjust and create designs to suit the client, a truly bespoke service!
